2010 CIO Awards - Announced
12th ANNUAL GEORGIA CIO OF THE YEAR® AWARDS ANNOUNCED
Atlanta, GA – Friday, October 29, 2010 – The Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GCLA), the professional organization for Georgia’s information technology leaders, proudly announced the winners for the 2010 CIO of the Year® Awards. The winners of this event were announced and honored at an exclusive ceremony comprised of the “Who’s Who” of the Georgia technology community. More than 500 people from the Atlanta IT community attended the awards ceremony.
Since 1998, the Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GCLA) CIO of the Year® Award Event has recognized excellence among C-level executives in the IT/ IS space in Atlanta. This year’s finalists were a group of highly qualified nominees representing the leading companies from within the local business community. PBD’s VP of Information Technology, Bjarke Ormstrup, was nominated in the Corporate category.
“It was an honor to nominated and make it as a finalist. This nomination is another confirmation of PBD’s leading role as an innovator in the technology space. Over the past years PBD continued focus on innovation in the technology space combined with Superior Service have been important differentiators in the fulfillment and 3PL industry.” said Bjarke Ormstrup.
The CIOs of the Year® winners were: Randy Fox of GE Energy in the Global Category, Barbara Kunkel of Troutman Sanders in the Enterprise Category, Bob Arnett of Cobb Energy in the Corporate Category, and Dan Brown of Credibility in the Nonprofit Category. This year a fifth award category, the Lifetime Achievement Award was introduced and Sandra Hofmann was recognized as the inaugural recipient.
