Lisa Williams named PBD Worldwide Lombardi Award Winner for 2011
PBD Worldwide has announced that the 2011 winner of their senior management team’s most coveted Lombardi Award is Lisa Williams. The Lombardi Award is given annually to a senior staff member who has made the most outstanding contribution to PBD’s success and best displays the essence of Vince Lombardi’s famous coaching and motivational abilities. Lisa, who also received the honor in 2008, is the first two-time winner.
Lombardi has been a long-time influence behind several principles and philosophies embraced by PBD Worldwide. Named ‘Coach of the Century’ by ESPN, Vince Lombardi is remembered for his dedication, his infectious enthusiasm and his unforgettable quotes such as the one displayed on the office doors at PBD, “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection… we catch excellence.”
As PBD’s Vice President of Human Resources, Lisa Williams recorded many ‘wins’ in her column this year. Under Lisa’s direction, the PBD benefit programs, community outreach activities, and overall employee satisfaction received both local and national recognition this year. The Business Chronicle listed PBD one of Atlanta’s Best Places to Work for the fifth time and one of Atlanta’s Healthiest Workplaces. PBD Worldwide was also named on The Atlanta Journal Constitution’s list of Top Work Places for 2011 and one of the 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in the United States.
“Our commitment to our clients is to provide superior service, and to do that we must have superior employees,” says Lisa Williams. “It is of utmost importance that we select employees who share our values; provide the training to enable them to deliver our services; and recognize and reward them for their accomplishments.” Lisa joined PBD Worldwide in June, 2000. She has over 20 years of human resources experience in various industries including manufacturing, hospitality and service.
