The backbone of our IT application infrastructure is our Oracle ERP business application. Oracle Corporation is the leading provider of agile, collaborative solutions, completely integrated to exploit the Internet economy.  Oracle is well suited for fulfillment and distribution operations. PBD has been an Oracle (through JD Edwards) customer since 1994 and currently uses the following, completely 100% interfaced, Oracle software modules: 

• Financials (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger)
• Sales Order Management (sales transaction entry, order & inventory inquiry, analysis tools)
• Inventory Management (purchasing, receiving, inventory control)
  PBD uses Oracle as a completely integrated WMS application. This solution provides a flexible foundation to efficiently run a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse operation.
  

PBD constantly monitors and evaluates data from our Oracle system that allows us to enhance productivity and improve overall warehouse efficiency operations such as:

• Optimizing pick, put-away, and replenishment functions
• Establishing rules for each type of material movement based on factors such as unit of measure or minimum/maximum levels
• Setting up zones that reflect your various storage areas, such as bulk, high rack, flow pick, and returns
• Integrate with bar code and wireless data collection devices to enable accurate, efficient tracking of goods through our facility
• Integrated with all manifest applications to immediately capture and track shipping detail information at the package level.
