PBD Worldwide's CEO, Scott Dockter, has won a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award recognizing the Highest Rated CEOs for 2017 in the U.S. SMB category. Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest and fastest growing job sites, released its annual report honoring the Highest Rated CEOs, which highlights top leaders employees love working for at Small & Medium Companies in the U.S.
Among chief executives recognized by employees in the U.S., Dockter received an impressive approval rating based on the anonymous and voluntary reviews PBD Worldwide employees shared on Glassdoor throughout the past year.
“I am humbled,” said Dockter. "To know this award is based solely on the feedback of our employees makes this award especially meaningful. I extend my congratulations to the whole PBD Worldwide team as it is the hundreds of dedicated, talented employees who work hard every day that make PBD a great place to work."
Dockter's influence on PBD's culture and dedication to putting employees first can be seen in the Glassdoor reviews submitted by PBD employees. Here is what some of PBD's current and former employees had to say:
- "The CEO has a great rapport with the staff and meets with small groups regularly to help promote communication among departments and facilities as well as up and down the ranks. He inspires the staff to be the best we can be every day."
- "Our CEO is highly motivated which brings a lot of positive energy to our company."
- "Great company with an open door policy for all management including the CEO."
- "Our CEO even has periodic breakfast sessions with us (everyone in the company) so that he can get real feedback on how things are going. AMAZING."
"Our philosophy is if your hire according to your values, show trust in your people and give them the tools they need to be successful both at work and at home, you have a more engaged workforce that provides better service," said Dockter. "Today, I am honored to celebrate 24 years at PBD Worldwide and would like to thank our amazing team for all they do for our company, our clients and their customers every day."
“CEOs tell us the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award is one of the highest honors they can receive because it truly reflects employee opinion about the job they do every day. I congratulate all of the winners on this significant honor,” said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor co-founder and CEO. “We know that CEO approval ratings correlate to overall employee satisfaction and trust in senior leadership, which contributes to long-term employee engagement, ultimately helping an employer’s recruiting and retention efforts.”
When employees submit reviews about their company on Glassdoor, they are asked to rate various factors about their employment experience, including their overall satisfaction and other workplace attributes like senior management. As part of these ratings, employees are also asked to rate whether they approve, disapprove or are neutral about the job their CEO is doing.
Among the 700,000 companies reviewed on Glassdoor, the average CEO approval rating is 67 percent.
